The Head Coach
Because of Howie’s excellent handling of the team over the last several years, no one considered this to be an appealing job opening. Many assistant coaches flat out declined the invitation to interview. So we passed over Duce Staley (again) and hired the poor man’s Frank Reich – Nick Sirianni.
You know why Howie loves this new coach? Because he has zero gravitas. There’s no way he wins in a power struggle with Howie. And that has become the most important trait in the Eagles head coaching position.
Last week, Sirianni revealed he uses a game of rock paper scissors to vet potential picks, which is somehow still better than Howie’s methodology.
